My name is Claire Martin, and I am a photographer based in the small town of Bowden, Alberta. I ride horses, I play basketball, volleyball, and badminton, and I have a half-brown belt in karate. I have always been an artistic person, dabbling in everything from painting to charcoal drawing to sewing. However, I found my true passion in September 2015 at age 14. I volunteered to take pictures my school's second ever high school football game for the yearbook using my Mom's old Nikon camera. I quickly fell in love with both the artistic and technical aspects of photography and within months began expanding to several other school sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton, track and field, and soccer. My current camera, a Nikon D5500 with an 18-55mm and a 55-200mm lens, was purchased in December 2015.

Throughout the year I have been experimenting with different types of pictures and have taken a particular interest in equine and portrait photography. So far, I have done several photoshoots with close friends that turned out extremely well. I have also made trips to popular equestrian venues such as Rocky Mountain Show Jumping and Spruce Meadows to take pictures.

Now I am working on creating an image for myself and my business, Blue Moon Photography, with hopes that I can gain a clientelle in and around Central Alberta. I am specialized in portraits, sports, events, and equine photography, but am open to any needs that you may have. For information on bookings, or more information about me and my business, please contact me using the contact page.

Thanks!
